Hello, my name is Jim Kring and I'm the author of this site, Thinking in G. I'm an avid LabVIEW developer and community member from the San Francisco Bay Area. I've been using the LabVIEW graphical programming language for many years, developing software to help high-tech companies prototype, test, measure, automate, and control. You can learn more about me here.
This site is where I discuss LabVIEW software development, with an emphasis on software engineering. Most of the time, I'll just post short thoughts on topics that catch my interest, but I'll also post more in-depth and organized LabVIEW articles from time to time. You can always find a complete archive of this site here.If you would like to discuss LabVIEW, software engineering, open source, or most other topics discussed here at Thinking in G, you might want to consider using the following discussion forums:
I'm also the co-author of the 3rd edition of LabVIEW for Everyone. I love to write about LabVIEW, and now that I'm done writing the book, this blog serves as a great outlet for that passion.
All the content on this site represents my own personal opinions.
